Question:
Is it safe for a 3-month-old to ride in an aeroplane? I'm thinking about taking a trip from London to New York which takes about seven hours. Is this too long?

Answer:
'Yes, it's safe for a 3-month-old to ride in an aeroplane. Many aeroplanes are now offering discounted prices on seats for infants so they can be in a car seat on board. This would be the best way for her to do the trip. A long flight with an infant will be stressful for you, but it's a lot easier now than when she's older and on the move. If she's temperamentally very sensitive to change and new sights and sounds, it will be more of a challenge than if she's a mellow or easily adaptable baby. It is a good idea to be feeding your baby when taking off and landing to enable the pressure in the ears to equalize.
